Life Insurance Instant Quote

Searching the internet for life insurance quotes can be confusing and overwhelming at times. With so many options to choose from it's hard to tell who has the best rates.  With life insurance instant quote engines it's easy to compare life insurance rates side-by-side. Now you just have to decide what life insurance agency you want to use.

The biggest mistake consumers make when viewing a life insurance instant quote is picking the best health class and thinking that those of the rates they can qualify for. Only 10% of people who apply for life insurance qualify for the best rate class. The truth is every life insurance company will look at your situation differently, some of the more favorably than others. If that's your life insurance agent to sort through those companies and find a company that will look most favorably at your situation.

So when you view the life insurance instant quotes, keep an open mind. Don't jump at the best life insurance instant quote price that you see because you may not qualify for it. Once you see a price that you can qualify for it gets in your head and most people just put off buying life insurance. You have to remember why you're buying this life insurance - it's to protect the ones you love.  So don't let that bother you and think of the big picture.

Using life insurance instant quote engines are a good way to ballpark life insurance premiums, but nothing more.  Often times consumers choose life insurance companies that they can qualify for. So your best bet is to view these life insurance instant quotes with your agent and discuss them together. Doing this to get a good understanding of why you can qualify for certain company and why you can qualify for another company. This perspective will make your choice clear.

Another tip is to not use the life insurance website where the contact information isn't listed. Typically those sites are data-gathering sites that will sell your information to other life insurance agents for fee. If you do that you'll get calls for weeks from five different agents who want to say life insurance. The best thing you can do is look for life insurance instant quote website where the contact information is listed along with all the companies they represent. Go with your gut - if the website looks and feels like a scam it probably is a scam.

So after you figure out the best rate you can qualify for the application process takes about 4 to 8 weeks to complete before the life insurance company makes you an offer.  This offer we based off of the life insurance instant quotes, your medical exam and your medical records. The life insurance quote can do if they find information in your medical exam or your medical records that indicate you have some health issues.

Bottom line. Find a trustworthy website with life insurance instant quotes that also has knowledgeable and experienced agents that can help you out.

Goodbye Yankee Stadium!

New York 8/1/2008 - 8/3/2008

Myself, Brandon, Welches and Norm took a trip to New York to see Yankee Stadium one last time. Yankee Stadium is arguably the most historic stadium in all of sports. The most championships won in all of sports and the most historic names in baseball played there. Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Yogi Berra and so many others. We were lucky enought to score tickets during the old timers last game. This was the last time the living Yankee greats would be on the field. Such a cool experience to see them on the field again.

We took the redeye out on Thursday and arrived at 6:00 AM Friday morning. None of got any sleep and we couldn't get into our room until 4:00 so we got breakfast and picked up some drinks at Whole Foods.
So I'm in line at Whole Foods near Central Park with Brandon and who walks behind us in line? SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY, one of the biggest rockstars of all time!!!! I nudge Brandon and we look at each other in total disbelief. I ask Paul if I could have a picture with him and he responds with a "Not with my family around and I don't want to draw a crowd"...I respond, "I totally respect that." He puts his hand on both mine and Brandon's shoulder/back and leans in and says "I appreciate it guys....cheers." So we pay for our drinks and I run outside and tell the other guys...they get a look as he walks out with his daughter in a stroller and he waives to me and Brandon and says "See Ya!" and walks into the distance. I did a full fist pump on my knees because Paul McCartney just acknowledged me voluntarily! In front of 4 other witnesses! So surreal.
Anyways, so we go to Central Park and take a nap since were all delerious from no sleep. I obvously fall asleep with a huge grin on my face.

After a 45 minute power nap and hydrating ourselves, we were all ready to go. We just started walking the streets of NY. This is Time Square during the day.

We all agreed to walk through the Modern Museum of Art (MOMA). All the big named artists were on display - Monet, Picasso, VanGogh...so many others...

We ate at Peter Lugar Steakhouse in Brooklyn on Friday night. We booked 2 months in advance because it fills up quickly. We heard it has the best steakhouse in the world from the Travel Channel and it was by far the best steak I've ever had. You ask how can a steak by better than another? You just have to try it. My explanation wouldn't be able to do it justice.

We also went to McSorely's Old Ale House and had a blast. It was packed from wall to wall. We squeezed our way in and ordered a round. They only serve 2 beers...a light and a dark..Little did we know that 1 beer equals 2 and we found out the fun way. We ordered 8 beers so we could all double fist to get our night started and they brought us 16 beers!!!

All together it was a great weekend trip. Being able to tell my kids and grandkids that I've been to Yankee Stadium and was there the last time all the living greats were on the field is priceless. We all made a pact to see a new stadium every year. Looking forward to the next ballpark...

Pacific Crest Trail Hike

Michelle and I did an 8 mile hike along the Pacific Crest Trail yesterday. We planned to make it to the hot springs, which is a little over 9 miles from the trailhead we found, but we soon figured we didn't give ourselves enough time. We found another trailhead along the way, so next time we'll start from there and shave 3 miles off the hike.

We entered the PCT at Hook Creek here:

We took Ninja and our foster dog Sprout with us.

PCT 1

The trail was for the most part flat and well kept. Most of the time it was 3ft wide and curving along Deep Creek.

PCT 2

We passed by Aztec Falls early in the hike. National Geographic named Aztec falls among its best swimming holes in America! It's a popular spot in the summer where people jump off a 30 ft rock and a bigger 60 ft. rock into the creek and lay out on the rocks for a tan.

Aztec Falls

Here's a cool 2.5 minute video I found on youtube of Aztec Falls. It's a relaxing place to cool off during the summer. If the video doesn't show up, click here.

The whole portion of the PCT we hiked was along Deep Creek. It's basically the runoff of Big Bear, Running Springs, Lake Arrowhead and everything inbetween. It flows year round and all of Deep Creek is a wild trout area. Supposedly the fires in 2003 dealt a huge blow to the trout population though.

Ninja Creek View

The trail took us by some cliffs above the water. Here's a shot from one of them.

Steep Rock Cliffs

Some of the switchbacks were a little unsettling for Michelle because of the height and loose gravel.

Here's another gorgeous shot of Deep Creek.

S Creek

4 hours into the hike, we ate lunch on the creek and I think we wore Sprout out as he crashed in the shade and used a rock as a pillow.

Sprout

We are so lucky to have this in our backyard. We drove 20 minutes to the trailhead and there are countless other trailheads we have yet to explore.
